How to access the Internet using an eSIM?
To use the Internet with an eSIM, you first need to correctly install the eSIM profile on your phone — usually by scanning the QR code provided by your carrier or service provider. After activation, make sure the eSIM is set as the primary line for mobile data and that mobile data and data roaming are enabled (if you are using the eSIM abroad).
On most devices, the configuration looks like this:
iPhone (iOS)
- Go to Settings → Cellular
- Select your eSIM
- Set it as the source for Cellular Data
- Enable:
- Cellular Data
- Data Roaming (when traveling)
Android
- Go to Settings → Network & Internet → SIM cards
- Select the eSIM
- Set it as the default SIM for Internet access
- Enable:
- Mobile Data
- Data Roaming (if required)
After the setup is completed correctly, your device will automatically connect to a mobile network in the destination country and allow you to access the Internet without using a physical SIM card.
