In Switzerland, it is possible to buy a local pre-paid SIM card. However, the process is quite complicated. In order to purchase telecommunications services, you must provide a temporary place of residence. The SIM card can be purchased at the post office or at the operator's store. It is also necessary to have a passport or ID card.
Pre-paid cards require recharging. Money is debited from the account along with Internet usage, according to the price list of the respective operator. Such cards can only connect to the network of a specific company. Usually a subscription is a more favorable solution, but it will not work for short trips - a contract of this type covers at least several months. It is worth remembering that Internet in Switzerland is generally expensive.
