What to visit in China in 2024?

Added: 07.12.2023, Updated: 12.12.2023,

Nowadays, Poles are increasingly choosing to vacation in exotic countries. One of the destinations that has recently gained in popularity has become China. If you are planning a trip to this Asian country, be sure to read what to see in this huge country with a huge number of attractions :)

1. The Great Wall of China

This is the most famous attraction from China and definitely has the largest dimensions. So much so that it is probably the only structure in the world that can be seen from space. We may not recommend going around the entire wall totaling about 2,400 kilometers, although there will probably be some brave daredevils. Just standing on this giant will cause only one reaction - admiration.

2. Tibet

Tibet is a region with beautiful landscapes that are not to be missed when visiting China. Tibet's cities also have unique architecture that delights tourists from all over the world. In this case, a must-see would be Tibet's capital Lhasa with its beautiful Potala Palace. Despite the Tibetan heritage still maintained by the locals, the cities of the area are increasingly beginning to resemble typical Chinese metropolises. So take your time to visit!

3. Jiuzhaigou

A national park in Sichuan province, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992. This place will be unique for lovers of mountain scenery. There are plenty of waterfalls and high mountain lakes here. Jiuzhaigou is also an important habitat for many endangered animal species, such as golden monkeys and musk deer. It's also one of the few places where you can still see wild Great Pandas - a symbol of China. Who knows, you might be able to take a picture of them there ;)

4. Beijing

The capital of China, which is a unique city. Attention should be paid primarily to the Forbidden City, which begins with the largest square in the world - Tiananmen. The former imperial palace still impresses with its appearance and size. In addition, it is also worth a look at the Olympic Stadium, not without reason called the "Bird's Nest". This unique structure definitely stands out among the rest of arenas from around the world. There is a gigantic business center in Beijing - in our opinion, this is very important news for all entrepreneurs from our country ;)

5. Grottoes of the Ten Thousand Buddhas

This temple near the village of Longmen is more than a thousand years old! Carved into the limestone rocks, it is known for housing thousands of bas-reliefs with the image of Buddha. Calculations indicate that there are exactly 142289 of these figurines. An incredible number that has survived to the present day. And will you be able to count all the Buddhas in this temple?

6. Yuyuan Garden

Now also something for flora lovers. This garden is located in Shanghai and will delight any fan of Asian garden architecture. It is more than 2 hectares of land to explore. This garden contains a lot of ornamental elements (mainly in the shape of a dragon). Its surroundings are also worth a visit - the temple of the city god, the famous Nanxiang restaurant and stalls with traditional handicrafts.
